Vanessa is a geohazards expert with 16+ years of experience, visionary leadership skills, and an unwavering commitment to advancing the management of geohazards and risks. As Andes Geo CEO, she leads the team to become a Centre of Excellence for Geohazards and Risk, pioneering innovative solutions and setting new benchmarks. Under her guidance, the approach to geohazards transcends traditional methodologies by embracing innovative technologies and solutions to meet today’s and tomorrow’s challenges.

Luis Aguiar - CTO

As Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Andes Geo, Luis Aguiar boasts over a decade of software development and leadership experience, coupled with a background in mechanical engineering. With a track record of being part of founding engineering teams in multiple startups and playing a key role in a successful startup exit, Luis excels in integrating cutting-edge technology to manage complex problems. At Andes Geo, he leads software development, driving innovative solutions and shaping the company’s technological direction.

Gio Roberti - Principal Geoscientist

Dr. Gio Roberti spearheads advancements in natural hazard modelling and understanding. His expertise spans diverse natural hazards, ranging from landslides, volcanoes, and wildfires to the intricacies of climate change. Dr. Gio’s pioneering work involves the application of AI to manage these disasters effectively, earning him international recognition within the scientific community through extensive publications in the field of natural hazards
